the stakes are high

Horse racing in Hong Kong is the most competitive in the world. Hong Kong is where the very best riders congregate to perform for some of the world’s leading horse-people, who train thoroughbreds to achieve results for some of the wealthiest and driven owners anywhere.

The stakes are high, the prize money, the pressure, and the expectation from a racing and betting-mad public drive competition.

best practice

The Hong Kong Jockey Club has become the world’s most reliable racing jurisdiction and is supported by the world’s-best stewarding of races.  The availability of, and the unparalleled access to information is second to no other country.

The HKJC holds the largest internationally accessible Parimutuel pools on a race-by-race basis – this helps to make HK racing a great betting proposition, albeit in a very competitive market!

Clint Hutchison

Horse Racing Analyst

Australian-born, Clint Hutchison was raised in the dynamic, pressure-laden environment of Hong Kong and understands horse racing there as well as anyone in the world. The son of former HKJC-licensed trainer Bruce Hutchison, Clint began clocking his dad’s horses (and others!) and studying the form when still at prep school.

Over time, he developed his eye for reading races and rating horses which made him a sought after analyst in Hong Kong. He was a racing writer and leading tipster for both the South China Morning Post and HK Cable Television before he joined the Hong Kong Jockey Club as a form analyst for their English Telecast.

Hutchi’s experience is broad and respected across the racing globe, with leading HKJC-licensed jockey’s and trainers, having sought his valuable advice on horses’ abilities and how he expects races to take shape.

In 2015 Hutchi was signed up by Racing.com in Melbourne to be one of their lead form analysts. It is there that he has quickly applied his knowledge and experience to earn the respect of the Victorian thoroughbred industry.

You can watch Clint’s television work on Racing.com, live racedays, the popular Get On show with Jason Richardson, and Before The First on Saturday mornings.
